ballet school of rock

I taught a ballet class last night. I hadn't taught a class in a while and I wanted to have some fun with it, so we danced to a random assortment of music in my collection. Have a listen:

A Very Short Barre:
Plies - "Tomorrow, Tomorrow" by Elliott Smith
Tendu with Plie - "Primitive (The Way I Treat You)" by Ambulance, LTD
Tendu and Degage - "Brand New Cadillac" by the Clash
Rond de Jamb - "Waltz #1" by Elliott Smith
Grand Battement - "Bulldog Front" by Fugazi
Frappe - "In This Lonely Town" by Jeremy Jay
Barre Stretch - "Sun King" by the Beatles

Center:
Adagio - "Starman" by David Bowie
Piquee turns from the corner - "Another Nail In My Heart" by Squeeze
Warm-up jumps - "I Was Never Young" by of Montreal
Petit Allegro - "Me & Mia" by Ted Leo
Pirouettes from the corner - "Martha My Dear" by the Beatles
Waltz turns - "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead
Grande Allegro - "Good Day" by Jukebox the Ghost
Tambe pas de bouree glissade grande pas de chat - "Hold it In" by Jukebox the Ghost
Reverence - "Postcards from Italy" by Beirut

I'm most proud of being able to do grande battements to Fugazi. Punk rock ballet class next?
