Hollywood remakes movies all the time, but usually they wait at least ten years or they are remaking a foreign film for American audiences. That's why I was shocked to find out Chris Rock is remaking one of my favorite movies.
Death a Funeral came out in 2007, now Chris Rock is remaking it for African American audiences with an expected release date of April 23, 2010. Yes, it is a British film, and we steal from them all the time, but the film is in English and includes two American actors. It looks like Peter Dinklage is reprising his role, but otherwise that's the only bright spot in the casting of the remake.
What do you think of Hollywood remaking movies? Is Chris Rock right in thinking African American audiences can't relate to the British
Death at a Funeral?
